Marlin is a Founding Partner of Orchard Search Group. Along with helping to manage and lead a new organization, Marlin remains active in the front lines of executive recruiting. His focus continues to be Robotics, Machine Vision, PLCs, CNC, Drives, Motion Control, as well as the Software and Total Solutions concepts and Services. In addition, Marlin has expanded his market specialization to include the Printed Circuit Board Industry, Industrial Software, and Energy. Marlin continues to conduct high-level searches for Senior Executives, Engineers, and Regional Sales Managers. While "E-recruiting" and "speed of E" have become standard recruiting methods in today's market, Marlin continues to put his personal touch on the recruiting process. He has built a significant reputation on his ability to uncover the candidate who is highly coveted but not easily located.
Prior to co-founding Orchard Search Group, Marlin spent six years in banking before joining a prestigious recruiting firm based in the Chicago area. From 1989 to 2000 he was instrumental in helping to shape and grow the firm from 10 to 25 full-time search consultants. Marlin led in billings for several years while managing and directing the Industrial Automation Practice. Revenues grew significantly while under his leadership in this practice.
Marlin received his Certified Senior Account Manager (CSAM) status in 1991, entered the MRI Hall of Fame (after cashing in $1mm) in 1995, and was a National Pacesetter nine times in his first ten years. He placed in the Top 5 in the Midwest Regional five times in his first seven years, winning #1 in 1993 and was awarded Regional Billing Manager of the Year in 1994.
Marlin graduated from Illinois State University in 1983 with a B.S. degree in Business.
